Ingredients

  • Cottage cheese: Small-curd or whipped; choose 2% or full-fat for best creaminess.
  • Milk or liquid: Dairy milk, almond milk, oat milk, or coconut milk.
  • Frozen fruit: Berries, mango, pineapple, cherries, peaches, or banana.
  • Sweetener (optional): Honey, maple syrup, dates, or stevia.
  • Flavor boosters: Vanilla extract, cinnamon, cocoa powder, espresso, peanut butter or almond butter.
  • Add-ins (optional): Chia seeds, ground flax, oats, spinach, or collagen.
  • Ice: If using fresh fruit or you like a thicker, frostier texture.

Method

  1. Measure the base: Add 1/2 cup cottage cheese and 3/4–1 cup milk to your blender.
  2. Choose your fruit: Add 1 to 1 1/2 cups frozen fruit. Frozen fruit gives body and chill.
  3. Boost the flavor: Add 1 teaspoon vanilla or a pinch of cinnamon, plus 1–2 teaspoons sweetener if needed.
  4. Optional extras: Add 1 tablespoon nut butter, 1 tablespoon chia or flax, a handful of spinach, or 1–2 teaspoons cocoa.
  5. Blend until smooth: Start low, then go high for 30–45 seconds. Scrape the sides if needed. It should look glossy and creamy.
  6. Adjust: Too thick? Splash in more milk. Too thin? Add a few ice cubes or more frozen fruit and blend again.
  7. Taste and finish: Add an extra drizzle of honey or a pinch of salt to sharpen flavors. Pour into a chilled glass.
