Prep Time 15 minutes
Cook Time 30 minutes

Servings: 4 servings

Ingredients

  • Peaches (2 cups sliced; fresh or frozen)
  • Banana (1 small, ripe; frozen if possible for creaminess)
  • Greek yogurt (1/2 cup; plain or vanilla)
  • Milk of choice (3/4 to 1 cup; dairy or unsweetened almond/oat milk)
  • Honey or maple syrup (1–2 teaspoons, optional, to taste)
  • Vanilla extract (1/2 teaspoon)
  • Ice (a handful, if using fresh fruit)
  • Optional add-ins: chia seeds (1 teaspoon), ground flax (1 teaspoon), spinach (1 cup), protein powder (1 scoop), cinnamon (a pinch)

Method

  1. Prep the fruit: If using fresh peaches, pit and slice them. For extra chill, freeze the slices for at least 1 hour. Peel the banana if not already frozen.
  2. Layer the blender: Add milk first, then yogurt, peaches, banana, vanilla, and any optional add-ins. This helps the blades catch smoothly.
  3. Sweeten lightly: Add honey or maple only if needed. If your peaches are very ripe, you may not need any sweetener at all.
  4. Blend until smooth: Start on low, then increase to high for 30–45 seconds. If the smoothie is too thick, add a splash more milk. If it’s too thin, add more fruit or a few ice cubes.
  5. Taste and adjust: Check sweetness and texture. A pinch of cinnamon adds warmth, and a squeeze of lemon can brighten the flavor.
  6. Serve immediately: Pour into a chilled glass and enjoy while it’s cold and creamy.
