Ingredients

  • Proteins: Vanilla or chocolate protein powder (whey or plant-based), Greek yogurt, cottage cheese, silken tofu
  • Fruits: Frozen berries, frozen banana slices, mango chunks, pineapple, cherries
  • Vegetables: Spinach, kale, cauliflower rice (frozen), avocado
  • Liquids: Milk, almond milk, oat milk, soy milk, coconut water, cold brew coffee
  • Healthy Fats: Peanut butter, almond butter, cashew butter, chia seeds, flaxseed, hemp hearts
  • Flavor Boosters: Cocoa powder, cinnamon, vanilla extract, fresh ginger, lemon or lime juice
  • Sweeteners (optional): Honey, maple syrup, dates, stevia
  • Ice: For extra thickness if using fresh fruit

Method

  1. Pick your protein (20–30 g): 1 scoop protein powder, or 3/4 cup Greek yogurt, or 1/2 cup cottage cheese, or 1/2 block silken tofu.
  2. Add fruit (1 to 1 1/2 cups): Frozen works best for texture—try berries, banana, or mango.
  3. Include fiber or greens: A handful of spinach or kale, or 1/2 cup frozen cauliflower rice. Add 1 tablespoon chia, flax, or hemp for extra fiber and nutrients.
  4. Add healthy fat: 1 tablespoon nut butter or seeds helps with fullness and creaminess.
  5. Pour in liquid: Start with 3/4 to 1 cup milk or milk alternative; add more to reach your ideal thickness.
  6. Boost flavor: A splash of vanilla, a pinch of cinnamon, or a spoon of cocoa can make a big difference.
  7. Blend on high until smooth, 30–60 seconds. If it’s too thick, add liquid; if too thin, add more fruit or ice.
  8. Taste and adjust: If it needs sweetness, add a date or a little honey. Blend again for a few seconds.
  9. Serve immediately in a chilled glass or to-go cup. Garnish with a sprinkle of seeds if you like.
